I am very pleased with this bed. I was actually willing to pay double this price at a fancy local retailer if I had found an upholstered bed I liked equally or better, but I could never find one that was the right color, shape, design, or height, even if I special-ordered a custom bed. This bed appeared to have all the elements that I was wanting- straight lines, wingback, tufted, good height, linen-look fabric, perfect neutral color. I was nervous to make such a large purchase online sight unseen, especially since it was non-returnable. But with all the positive reviews, and my inability to find what I wanted elsewhere, I decided to take the plunge. I am so glad I did! Below is my complete review answering all the questions I had before I ordered, so I hope the info is helpful to you: Before I ordered, I contacted Skyline directly to request some fabric swatches to be sure I got the color I wanted. They mailed me what I asked for immediately, and it was so helpful. I ordered the King-size bed in Sandstone. It is a perfect neutral color (kind of a light khaki) in a beautiful linen fabric. My computer screen made it appear darker, but the actual color is lighter and exactly what I was hoping for. Overall height of the bed once put together is almost 56 inches, which is taller than many beds I was seeing elsewhere, and exactly what I wanted. The order came in 2 large and heavy boxes. I am a relatively small female, but pretty handy and like putting things together. It took me close to 3 hours total to carefully unbox everything, check all the parts, and then put it together, but I did it by myself. The instructions and pictures could've been a little better, but I was able to figure it out. But it is VERY important to follow each step exactly as stated to ensure the best stability and fit for all the pieces. One of the wing pieces was a little out of alignment, which made it difficult to attach the side rail correctly, but I was able to gently maneuver it to make it work. One of the middle support legs was defective, but I contacted Skyline and they've already mailed me a replacement. Bed was stable and fine without it, but I appreciated their quick response. Some reviews say there is a gap between the mattress and the headboard....that is not the case for us. We have a standard 9inch box spring and a pillowtop mattress that is a little more than 12inches tall. Once they are situated in the bed, they exactly meet the bottom of the headboard with no gap. The finished height of our mattress from the floor is between 25 and 26 inches. There is only about 4 inches space between the floor and the bottom of the side rails, so don't plan on having any of those under-bed storage boxes, they won't fit. Back of the headboard is not covered in the fabric, but is finished cleanly, so it should not be an issue if you are putting it flush against a wall. Individual nailheads are an antique brass on the Sandstone fabric. The spacing is a little inconsistent in places, but not enough to draw attention to it, and I'm usually really bothered by that kind of thing. Can't speak to long-term stability since we just got it, but if it's put together properly, it looks and feels very stable and well made. And the bonus....I was given a 4 to 5 week lead time, but the bed came much much quicker than that. Can't say that will be the case for all, maybe they just had some stock on hand when I ordered, but I was very excited to receive earlier than expected. Bottom line, I'm very pleased. This was well worth the money, and I'm glad I took the risk.
Amazing piece of furniture
Diego from Kingwood, TX – Verified Buyer
Let me start by saying that my wife and I have been to almost every furniture stores in our area, over 15. From restoration Hardware, Ethan Allen, Star, furniture Gallery, Macys furniture....bla bla bla...... Save your time and buy this bed. The quality and beauty is as good and many times better than all the above furniture stores. But most impressive even is the price!. It came down to this bed and one very similar from restoration hardware. Same color, same everything , except the RH one had no nail heads. The one in RH was $1850 plus tax plus $159 delivery. It was $2166.....we got this bed for less than half. It has a big wow factor when you enter the room. Save your time and money, we have been looking at tufter wingback beds for over a year, this is a killer deal.
Looks fantastic, but bed frame materials are not high quality
Valerie from Cincinnati, OH – Verified Buyer
Positives: The speed of delivery - this item was delivered about 2+ weeks earlier than originally described. AppearanceStyle - this bed is very nice looking and the color, fabric and trim are true to the description online. I have received a number of compliments on the look of the bed. Negatives: Instructions - it is not terribly difficult to assemble, but the instructions could use some improvement. The pictures are not always clear, and some of the instructions specified inside and outside post, but the posts were not labeled as such and it was tough to figure out what was inside vs. outside. Materials Quality - Although it does look very nice, I feel the frame materials are not high quality. After assembling according to the instructions and placing my mattress and box spring in place, I sort of hopped on the bed. I weigh about 135 pounds. There was a very loud pop from the bed frame. Upon removing my mattress and bed spring, one of the metal side bars on the bed frame was bent and the middle support bar was loose. I hammered the bent piece back to its spot and retightened all the screws. The middle support bar seems wiggly and can't seem to be tightened firmly in place due to the shape of the bar and placement of the screw holes. The center post for the middle support beam does not touch the ground at all, it is a lot shorter than the four corner posts of the bed frame. Even with two people laying on the mattress, the support beam does not touch the ground. (My floors are level.) There were a few sections of the upholstered head board that had worn down sections, I believe from rubbing in the shipping packaging. You have to be close up to see it, so it is not major and not worth it to me to return and request a replacement.
Sturdy and attractive
Brenda from Butler, PA – Verified Buyer
The bed arrived within days! I love the fact that this bed is US made. As my caption reads it is sturdy and attractive, and I am generally very happy with it. One thing to be aware of…the center support "leg" has an adjustment piece you will need to screw down. Even so, as other reviewers have noted, it does not reach the floor, so we "shimmed" under this leg with a thick coaster we had around the house. Also, the metal seems to be a good quality, but since there is only one lateral center bar, we might pick up something at our local big box store to use as slats before the box spring and mattress arrive. I would have given this bed a 5-star rating, except for the fact of a strong smell I would describe as chemical perhaps (maybe from flame retardant?). I contemplated returning it for this reason, but we had already assembled this sturdy bed and attached rope lighting connected to a remote under the foundation for a night light effect when I really started noticing the smell. When you purchase one of these beds, open the headboard immediately and air it out for a while. Luckily, we are able to air it out and hopefully with the help of some fresh air and houseplants, the smell will dissipate.

I just put this together yesterday and am extremely pleased with it. I had a friend help me, but I probably could have done it by myself, if necessary. The queen-sized box spring and mattress fit into the base of the frame perfectly and the bed is very sturdy. I had been concerned about there being a large space between the mattress and the bottom of the headboard for my pillows to fall through, but it fits fine and there is no gap at all. (I have a 10" memory foam mattress and it sits on top of a split queen box spring.) I know that some of the other reviewers had difficulty putting the bed frame together, but I found it pretty straightforward. Of course, I enjoy these kinds of projects, so mage I have a different perspective. Anyway, this is the first piece of furniture that I've ever ordered online and I'm really, really happy with it. I highly recommend this bed.
I Love Our New Bed
Sasha from BROOKLYN, NY – Verified Buyer
First off l want to say that this is the 2nd bed that l have purchased but the first bought online. I spent months searching for the perfect linen bed. With the specifications that l was looking for (nail head trim, wing back, gray, tufted). I searched and searched until l found this one. It was perfect, met all my requirements and had enough positive reviews to make me feel comfortable buying such an item on the internet. In December 8th we closed on our condo and so based on the 4 weeks wait l ordered that night. The Positives ** The bed once set up is extremely lovely. EXTREMELY love it. (Cant comment on setup because my hubby handled that with my help just to assist in holding up the pieces for him to screw in.) **Though this is a negative thing that the bed took soosooooo long to arrive, based on the description it clearly told the timeline of 4 weeks l knew before purchasing that it was going to take long. Also l prepared for the wait based on other reviews. Also l do believe that certain colors take longer such as the gray. Based on reading the reviews l realized a few people said the bed came sooner than expected but nope, never the gray....lol. **Once bed said shipped it took less than 4 days to get to me in New York. A reviewer had commented on the artival date moving, mine did get pushed back 1 day but it did arrive the following day before 10:00am. **I would say the gray is true to color but when l lay down and look up on it, it looked like gray With a hue of tan. Either way though the bed looks very rich and sophisticated and it seems very well made. Cons ** The only con that l observed was that the bed did have a bad smell to it. However it
Good bed for the price.

My husband and I just assembled this bed last night in anticipation for our new mattress that is being delivered tomorrow. I'm very happy with how it turned out with a few slight disappointments. The instructions could have been better. My husband and I figured it all out, but it certainly took some time (about 2 hours, 3 if you count unboxing everything) and I could see how others might have trouble with it. One of the holes in the back of the headboard had wood shavings stuck in the threads which wouldn't allow us to get our screw in completely. My husband was able to remove some of the shavings but not all so we couldn't secure the screw as much as we would have liked. Since there were 3 other holesscrews for support, our headboard is still holding up well, so all in all, not a big deal and shouldn't make a huge difference in stability. We had a missing piece (a cap for one of the legs), but hopefully WayfairSkyline will take care of that. Like some other reviewers had mentioned, ever so slight gapcrooked alignment of the upholstered railings. We were able to straighten them out on the top with the L-brackets but the bottoms still have a slight gap. Shouldn't be too noticeable one everything else is on the bed though. Positives... The bed looks great overall. We got the grey and I love the fabric and the neutral color and the silver nail heads. The design is great and it was much cheaper than any other upholstered bed that I saw and liked in furniture stores. We were quoted the 4-5 week turn around for our order and the bed came in only about 2. Super fast! Overall I'm really happy with it. Hoping it holds up over time :)
Beautiful bed - worth the wait!
Jennifer from Montgomery, NY – Verified Buyer
I received this bed a few weeks ago and I have to say I'm so impressed with it! I read a lot of reviews before I made the purchase - positive and negative; I'm a big online shopper, but a purchase this large (with a 'no return' policy) without seeing it made me a little nervous. A lot of reviews said that the fabric was true to the online product photo (it is), a lot that said they had trouble assembling the bed (we didn't), some that said the support legs weren't long enough (ours are), some said there was a large gap between the mattress and bottom of the headboard (we don't have a gap and we have a standard king box spring and mattress). I'm so happy to report that the bed is perfect. The fabric is true to the description - a really nice neutral grey color and nice quality fabric, the nailhead detail is beautiful and the bed is very strong/sturdy when put together. I got the king size bed and it came with several metal support rails and six support legs (all that are adjustable and reached our carpeted floors). My fiancé and I had no trouble putting the bed together, but then again we are ikea furniture experts so this was a piece of cake! I wish I could post a picture because the bed is so grand looking and really changes the whole look of our bedroom. My only complaint is the shipping time - the disclaimer online says 2-3 weeks for processing from the warehouse. I was fully expecting to wait, but the bed ended up being delayed twice and took more than a month to arrive. I wasn't a happy camper about the additional delay, but Wayfair customer service was really gracious about helping me. This bed was worth the wait! Pros: Luxurious looking bed, great value, easy assembly
As advertised, very pleased with bed!

I was very nervous about ordering such a large piece of custom furniture online and assembling it myself. But this bed was a great experience! It took about 4 weeks to arrive, as expected. I feel like the gray linen material is pretty well represented in the pictures - it's a little darker than "heather grey" but definitely lighter than a slate or graphite. And the assembly wasn't so bad. Everything arrives in two big boxes, and you need to take the time to unpack is all carefully and keep track of the hardware pieces. I thought that I was missing some hardware, so I called the company, and I reached a real-person operator immediately who transferred me to someone who was clearly looking at the same assembly instructions that I was. The rep didn't contest that I was missing the bolts, he just agreed to send me replacement hardware immediately (even though I later figured out that I had what I needed! oops!). You need a Phillips screwdriver, a flathead screwdriver, and some pliers and a hammer are helpful. The hardware includes two allen wrenches for putting together the bedframe itself. From unpacking the boxes to breaking everything down, I'd say the assembly took me about 3 hours. Pros: Great price for a classy looking, upholstered bed. Assembly is manegable, and I like that all the supports and feet came with plastic casters to reduce floor scratches. The side rails and footboard attach very securely to the bed frame. Cons: The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that the headboard wiggles a little. I think this is pretty unavoidable, as it only attaches to the bed frame at the bottom. The wings are quite secure.
Beat my expectations!!
Lisa from Killeen, TX – Verified Buyer
I ordered this grey wingback bed in a king size. It honestly beat every expectation that I had!! This was my first ever furniture purchase online, so I was extremely hesitant. My husband put it together in about an hour and a half. Previous reviews are right between the gap in the mattress and the edge of the wingback/headboard. But it isn't enough to reduce my rating. I have a fluffy duvet and accessories that don't really even bring attention that that area. It is much sturdier than I had envisioned, and it came in two different shipments which my husband and i were able to take up to the second floor ourselves. My main concern is that we are an active military family and will move often so I am hoping that this holds up after moving houses a few times but I am sure when proper packing all will be well.
