It's a medium gray in an attractive fabric that looks like linen looks more expensive than it is. It is well padded and quite sturdy. Delivery was sooner than expected. We are very pleased. Lidia from Buena Park, CA	1.0 3/12/2013 Worst online shopping experience! This has been by far the WORST online shopping experience I've ever had. I ordered this item on 124, I confirmed on the phone that it would ship out before (or at the latest) on 215 and would arrive no later than 219. The order was delayed and I was never notified until I called and was told the ship date had been moved from 215 to 220. Later, I received an email stating that my order had been delayed again a second time. Then it was delayed a third time. Then again a FOURTH time, unbelievable! The website always showed there were 30+ in stock which is why I can not understand why it was delayed four times. All the people at Wayfair did was take a measly 10 off my order and they wouldn't even comp the expedited shipping to try to rectify the situation. As for the headboard itself, it is very beautiful however, do not count on it actually fitting your standard metal bed frame, it didn't work with mine.
