It is a little darker than it looks in the picture, it is a charcoal gray with goldish/silver nailheads. My only complaint is that the foot of the bed doesn't line up perfectly on one side which is a slight issue since i tuck my bedding in on the sides. In the picture the bed looks low, but once you have a boxspring on and the mattress, it is a normal size bed---height-wise (depending on your boxspring height). Ooverall, I am pretty happy with my purchase. I get a ton of compliments and enjoy spending time in my new room! Was this helpful? Yes / No

The color is a dark gray and the material feels really soft. A previous review said not to get a box spring over 5 inches. Not true. My box spring is 9 inches and looks just fine. You don't see the box spring anyways when you have bedding on the bed. I searched the internet for days to find a gray upholstered bed like this that was good quality and a decent price. Jill from Pittsburgh, PA	5.0 4/21/2012 solid This bed was much nicer than expected for the price. The frame is sturdy and well-supported and hasn't budged an inch in the past month. Next to a light wall, it would probably appear darker, but the color is as pictured. It is definitely beige--not as light as 'pearl' would imply--and the undertones are more of a neutral than a cream. It took two of us about an hour and a half to assemble. Fortunately, we had the right size screw to replace one that was faulty. We also had a bit of trouble getting the corners to line up just right (I'm picky) at the foot of the bed. You're given a couple of L-brackets and instructed to reinforce the the padded rails at the top. This causes the gaping at the lower corners. We put additional L-brackets at the lower part, and it fixed it perfectly. Hope this helps! Was this helpful? Yes / No
