Durable metal legs, soft fabric, and sufficient stuffing. Item is definitely softer than I thought it was, which is a good thing. Its definitely wide. My wife and I love it. I actually sleep better thanks to this headboard. My mattress does not shift any more, so no more loft pillows between the bed and head board. Service Review Delivery was great. Free UPS Ground shipping. My state is not that far from the shipping center so I saw very great shipping time-frame. I ordered the item on a Sunday and had it before the weekend. It was very easy to assemble. Quality is outstanding. This is by far the best headboard buy on the internet. I can't imagine what a custom headboard of this quality would have cost or that it could be any nicer. Don't hesitate to get one. My only complaint would be to have had been able to have s greater selection of fabric colors and to be able to obtain samples of the swatches ahead of time. Still - we LOVE our headboard.
