Skagerak Olympia Firebowl - 1810512

This firepit doesn't get any better. I am a minimalist by nature and when I saw this I knew it was the one. I love the simplistic look and use of this firepit. I am sure I will have many comments on it this spring. It is cast iron and will weather, but isn't an issue for those who know how to care for it. I love it!

We purchased this item specifically for looks. We wanted something clean and simple to match the style of our home and decor. The design fits in perfectly, and we have no complaints with it's functionality. The one drawback is that this item is cast iron, and does weather and show patina over time. Not a deal breaker, but something a potential buyer should know before making a decision.

We love this firebowl inspite of its few drawbacks. Once lit, it burns for hours - both firelogs (Duraflame) and split firewood. Once going, it is hard to get the fire to die down - one regular duraflame log lasted almost 6 hours on Fourth of July - looooong after I wanted it to stop!!! If it had a lid that could be used to snuff out the fire and embers it would be a better overall product. I ended up using the lid off my large Wok as a lid on this firepit to finally snuff out our 4th flame... Otherwise LOVE it!
