I bought the dinner plates and smaller square bowls and plates. We absolutely love the small square bowls -- they actually hold a lot more than I initially thought. We regularly use them as cereal bowls, casserole bowls, and dessert bowls. The only reason the pattern does not get five stars is the design finish is slightly different than anticipated -- if you look closely at the picture, the ivory colour is rubbed off in places to reveal a brownish red finish, I think to give it an antique feel. Problem is they were over zealous with the antiquing, and all my plates have slight red-brown scratches across the middle. I had to spend considerable time convincing my partner that this was an intentional design feature and not a flaw. Despite the scratches, they are very lovely and versatile dinner wares.

1 Dinnerplate was broken, and I have not yet contacted the company to see if theyll replace it. Hopefully, they will, even though a month has passed by.

I use these daily and once in awhile for entertaining. I think they are elegant enough for company, but practical for everyday use.

The plate size is fantastic as are the coffee mugs - even my son commented on how much he liked them. I am extremely happy with my purchase!
