Less Expensive than Polywood, but Shoddy Construction I can pretty much put any piece of Polywood furniture together by myself in roughly an hour. The bench has taken two hours so far and I'm not done. I never would have gotten it as far as I have without my Dremmel (due to poor construction on Siesta's part) and I've had to drill many holes that were not properly punched through. So, I needed my drill, as well. As for screwing in the bottom slats, it is absolutely impossible without a second person to put a lot of weight on the top of the slats while the first person screws them in from the bottom - very awkward and poorly planned. Yes, I saved about $100 buying Siesta instead of Polywood. Would I do it again? No way!!! |

Bought two! These are well made sturdy benches from recycled materials. They look great. We bought two in blue (it's like a french ultramarine blue or sort of a medium primary blue color) one for the patio and one for the garden. My husband did have to re-drill some of the holes as they weren't properly drilled. It took him several days to assemble the first bench but the second bench took a few hours. My guy is not experienced in this sort of thing but if you are really handy you won't have trouble. |
