Shipping & Transport Cases

This case is a good size, shape and weight. It is a mid-weight type of case that looks like it will provide a moderate amount of protection for my fluorescent light panel, though I definitely wouldn't ship it. The locking tabs that keep the case shut are simple plastic tabs that are actually part of the case, and I'm concerned that over time they may weaken and not keep a tight closure. There already is a little play in the seal close to the handle, and I think I may add some kind of clip to the handle as a safety to keep it from accidentally opening if the tabs are bumped. I did not drive a car over this case, it is used to store a piece of expensive instrumentation, whereas keeping moisture out is the main objective. It does this well, in fact I ordered this case because pelican does not make one this size, but will start using "Type10" cases more often since it is rugged enough to take on excursions as well as lighter than pelican cases."..."  Read more
