This ceramic knife has a white blade made of an advanced ceramic called zirconium oxide. The blade goes through a high-pressure molding process before being heated over several days of temperatures in excess of 1000c. The ceramic blade is polished and ground on a diamond wheel to form a razor-sharp cutting edge before being attached to the knife handle. It is ideal for cutting those clean, thin slices. Shenzhen ceramic blades are shaped on a diamond wheel to form the razor sharp edge. The slicing knife is a mid-sized knife that is good for cutting larger items that a paring knife can't handle well. It is also known as a utility knife. It is used for miscellaneous cutting and slicing that requires a larger size blade than the paring knife, such as cutting larger fruits and vegetables, and smaller cuts of tender meats or fish.
