My 12 yr. old grandaughter and I put this together.We did use the instructions, got it together without trouble. Put it in her room w/ 2 taller bookshelves, one on each side. The product is a unique design and it looks excellent with my Asian Art pieces displayed on them. The shelves had some very minor scratches (black is hard to keep perfect) and the installation was straight forward and took 30-45 minutes. The Celio 3-tier bookcase was as pictured, but not as heavy as it appears. The instructions could have been clearer, I had to re do twice before final assembly.
