This is a beautiful rug in an amazing color. I needed a rug and didn't want to spend a ton of money but also didn't want a poor quality rug. The color is a dark, deep purple, eggplant/plum color. I was a little skeptical about purchasing this rug as the photo doesn't do the rug justice. I was afraid of getting a bright purple/royal purple rug. I wanted a more mature looking rug and this was perfect for my budget. There are two types of thread on this rug, one silky and the other a more matte and thick thread. The "ultra shag" shaw rug has a close up picture of what the rug really looks like, minus the coloring, which isn't true to the color of the rug. Feel nice with a rug pag underneath. This rug is soft, wonderful and very yellow. We have another like it and I dyed it the color we wanted and did the same w this one. They are great great rugs. Soft, hypoallergenic and very appealing as a hardwood floor covering area rug. THe biggest challenge with this rug is there isnt a range in colors so buying the liquid rit dye is important to get the color one wishes for. This is a super rug for those who dont like rugs and dont like the wool, nylon, or synthetic materials used in rugs. We are oak flooring in every rm family and dont like rugs. Snow white rug is of good quality, does not shed and is washable. I love the feel of walking on the rug in my bare feet! The zoom function of the rug on the Wayfair website sold me on the rug because of the long pile. I was not disappointed. It is a very versatile rug that can be used on tile and wood floors or as an accent rug over carpeting. I have used the rug for over a month it has remained bright & clean despite daily use. It does not tend to mat as some long pile rugs do, but remains fluffy and fun to walk on in my bare feet. Just an occasional shake refreshes it. I got this rug to replace another shag rug that was starting to shed. I needed something that would not shed because i no longer wanted the mess and I was worried my 6 mo old son would choke on the pieces. I looked at many rugs that were expensive in stores, including this brand and style. I found it here for over $100 less!!! Plus, this one had the color combo I was looking for. Its of great quality and perfectly matched my decor. The shag is made of a slick, rope like material that gives it a very contemporary look and feel. We received it quickly, and I must add that this company's return policy gave me the confidence to order w/o worrying about being stuck with a rug I didnt like in person. The only thing about the rug is that one of the ends does have a thin,long strip where the three colors are not mixed as well as the rest of the rug. Its hard to explain (see picture), but basically, there is a strip of black at the end that sticks out from the rest of the rug. Its not really obvious and probably wont be noticed unless pointed out, but it is there and should be noted. It would be a 5 star w/o this. I would give it 4 1/2 stars if I could!!!"..."  Read more
