Okay. So you'll never realize just how big a 32" scratching post is until you see one for yourself. When I saw my 18 lb Egyptian Mau drive his claws into this thing and suspend his entire body in midair, I almost killed over laughing. I actually love the fact that this scratching post is humongous. It's the only one that I've had that kitty is not capable of knocking over. On a serious note... Kitty was scheduled to get declawed last week due to various items around my home being shredded on a regular basis. Aside from the fact that it's a cruel thing to do to an animal who's sole pleasure in life is to scratch things, I read that declawing your cat can completely change their personality. After discussing it with my vet, I had decided in the end that I really had not tried "everything". Instead of spending the money to have the "procedure", I ordered the Ultimate Scratching Post by SmartCat in conjunction with a 78" tall ArmarKat tower. As Basile gazed at his early Christmas presents with bewilderment, I realized the truth as to why I have holes in the corner of my spare bedroom mattress. My kitty was scratching my furniture and carpets because I'm at the office all day and he's bored senseless. Now my baby has his very own furniture to tear the mess out of, as it is intended for! Bottom Line... your cat loves you. If they're doing something that you don't like, it's because they're trying to tell you something is wrong. I almost made a really stupid decision that would have ultimately affected the well being of my pet. Finding the right alternative for your cat is "trying everything". In my cat's case, this scratching post was one of those things. PS. Don't judge kitty by the photo. He is not hissing at me. Just excited :)"..."  Read more

5 stars for design 5 stars for cat love 5 stars for shipping/delivery time 1 star for the sisal scratching pad I paid extra to get the sisal scratching mat at the front of the perch. Unfortunately, the top right corner has already dislodged and is sticking out, and each time I try to shove it back into the frame, the cat undoes it. It's a great perch, and my cat took to it right away and sleeps there often, but I'm disappointed that I paid extra for a feature that fell apart less than one day after receiving it. If I'm going to pay $150+ for a piece of cat furniture, I'd expect there to be better attention to this construction detail. To others thinking of getting this perch, get it, but not this version - get the one without the scratching pad. Save the money."..."  Read more

My six-month old cat couldn't get her paws on this scratching post fast enough....It was barely out of the box and she was all over it scratching like crazy and trying out the perches...This was several weeks ago and she still loves it...is sleeping in the top spot as I type this review. It's an expensive item, but well made, sturdy, heavy and stable enough for a whole family of large cats, I'm sure. In fact, it is so heavy I could have used some help getting it upstairs where I needed it. Just the right height to sit by my computer table. It [...] was completely assembled, which I didn't expect. The cat actually loved the box, too, but it was too big to keep for her. I highly recommend the product and the supplier...worth every penny, especially compared to a smaller one that I bought from a pet store when we first got the cat. It was maybe 1/3 the price but only 1/6 the value."..."  Read more

I purchased this cat tree for my two Birman kittens. They love to climb and I found the same Molly and Friends cat tree for much much more on other online sites[...]. Wayfair had the lowest price [...] My cats are loving it and I would recommend purchasing any Molly and Friends cat trees through Wayfair over other online sites because you really can't beat the price!"..."  Read more
