This was the only scissors I could find that was dishwasher safe! All the others in my house have plastic handles that cracked when I washed them in the dishwasher. I have use these shears for cutting back ornamental lawn grasses and trimming burning bushes with them. They are very sharp, cut clean and decrease the time it used to perform my trimming task compared to my other lopper shears. Outstanding! Shears - super sharp - comfortable rubber-lined handles big enough for even large fingers. I would only give it 4 out of 5 stars for my uses because the screw & nut which holds the 2 blades together are a little too fat to fit into the slot of my tool pouch, but for most people it would be a 5 star value so I gave it 5 stars to reflect how it would work for most people not trying to cram it into a telecom tool pouch.
