The finish comes off really easily. With that being said I love this piece so much that I would buy it again in an instant. Just make sure you invest in some furniture touchup markers. It took my husband and I about 2 hours to put together. This really feels like a solid piece of furniture! Wayfair was excellent. This was my first purchase with them. They upgraded my shipping to two day as a courtesy. I've never had a company do that before. My package arrived on time and in tact! Overall very very pleased with my purchase!
