Sauder Harbor View Computer Desk with Hutch

This is the perfect addition to my home. So beautiful looking. Takes time to put together, just follow the directions to a T and you will be just fine. I recommend this product highly!
looks good but really poor quality stuff

The materials are not that strong, can fall apart very quickly if not assembled properly. it is assembled top down on the floor so when you lift it upright it can fall apart. color is not the shown copper but black. for the price get real wood. this is all compressed sawdust. once you open this up it is very difficult to return plus they charge almost half the price for return.

I was nervous because others had said this desk was hard to put together and heavy. As far as the hard part, the directions were quite clear if you read them properly and double check your parts. I have so much fun putting things together; I wouldn't let my husband touch it and I had exactly the right amount of screws for every job. As far as the heavy part goes, if you purchase an 8-pack of easy glides for chairs that can be screwed to the bottom and you put 3 on each end and 2 in the middle, it's amazing how much they help. I was able to put it together and move it around by myself and I am 5'2". I am very happy with this desk; it is a beautiful addition to my home.

After my husband and I finished putting this contraption together, we were going to carefully move it into the house. Upon the first hint of movement, this 'thing' fell to pieces! We were totally disappointed. However, we were glad that the computer and printer were not on the contraption to have a sad ending too. The 'thing' ended up in a pile of rubble to be burned at a later date.
Good for price

Beautiful desk! There are A LOT of pieces. It takes time to put together, but it is not difficult.

Compact, but space for everything. Looks good in my hobby room.

There was a fine crack about 12 inches in length when I opened the box. I was on the fence about returning it since I searched heavily for a desk that was budget friendly and to my liking, but I decided to keep it anyways. The desk turned out nice, and the crack wasn't noticable. It's a nice sturdy desk. The assembly went smoothly, although there were two screws missing, but we were able to take two screws from a drawer that had 6 screws ( it really only needed 4).

This desk is beautiful although it does take quite a few hours to assemble. It's quite sturdy and heavy. The dark finish makes is difficult to keep the desk looking clean, but overall, it's exactly what we wanted and for a great price!! I recommend having 2 people for assembly! A few pieces were scratched, but it wasn't anything too noticable.
You Will Love It!!

This desk arrived within the week of purchased. Having another person help you assemble is ideal and you will need that person at the end to lift up the whole desk. The instructions have you start building from the top down on the floor. It took about 2 hrs to assemble with two people. Easy assembly just read instructions. This desk is a lot better looking than the picture. I am now looking at buying the shelving library that goes with it. My only negative is that there were a couple of scratches and one chip [...], but nothing too big where a touch marker can fix.

Watch out for the screw sizes! There are 2 that are very very very similar and if you use the wrong size for the hutch the screw tip will pop out of the top. [...]
