However I somehow bought the only surround sound system that wasn't compatible with the included hardware. A quick trip to the hardware store for the right size screw/nut combo fixed the problem. Sturdy base, wire concealment is a nice feature. Good range of height. Includes both options of having speakers pointing slightly downward or straight out. Use these for my rear speakers. Dru from QuÃ©bec, QC, Canada	4.0 10/21/2010 Great but hard to fit the curved tube First: These stands are great buy. The advantage in surround sound is very nice. They fit well in any environment. Cables are not visible. I bought a set to use with straight tubes for the front speakers. This one was easy to set up. I boughta second set for the rear speakers with the curved tube. The initial setup is somewhat hard to do if you want to use the curved tubes. The main problem is to remove the plastic threaded parts from the bottom tube to be able to insert the curved tube. The first time, I tried to pull on the top straight tube. I ended up with the plastic parts unmoved, the top tube in my hands with the anti-vibration tape broken at the end of the tube. The second time, I got it. Just tighten very hard the plastic threaded parts and pull on the straight tube. It shouldn't slide and the plastic parts should come with it. Remove the plastic parts from the straight tube from the top, insert them on the curved tube from the bottom, put a strip of anti-vibration tape and insert the tube in the bottom tube. It's also difficult to wire the cables into the tubes. It's easier from top to bottom. Use tweezers to get the cable at the bottom. Was this helpful? Yes / No
