You can stop contemplating if you should buy a cheaper tree stand and gamble if it will hold up.. literally. I've had 11-14' trees all my life, and have bent, broken and destroyed all of them. I have always needed to wire the trees to secure mounting points for balance -- not with this stand. With the extending arms, it doesn't sway at all. I have no doubt that this one will hang around for a very very long time.

Today the stand arrived. I have been looking at this stand since last Christmas but was afraid it would not hold our 14 foot tree. The package arrived with all the parts. I did not see any directions but it was very simple to put together, no directions needed. While I do not have tree in it at this time I expect it will hold our tree with ease.
Truly the last stand!

I have always had large live trees to celebrate Christmas. I had to weight our old stand with dumbells and other securing methods, because my wife was never confident about the tree being secured in the stand. This stand is so heavy, I was confident it could secure our 13ft tree. It took a third of the time it normally did to set up the stand, get the tree into the stand and positioned straight (less than 20 minutes). I already recomended this stand to a friend and plan to order a bigger tree next year!

This stand is extremely well made and substantial. I have confidence that this stand will hold upright our 11' tree. Two of the last three years, cheaper stands allowed the tree to fall over. This tree stand is not cheap but,... you get what you pay for. Easy to rotate tree while in stand before screwing in posts (to get the tree facing the way you want). Great design. The instructions for set up are poorly written, but not hard to figure out. Instead of the eye bolts that are pictured the stand has bolts shaped like an "L". Hopefully the last stand I will ever buy.
The Last Tree Stand You Will ever Need!

I have bought a real tree for the past 24 years. I have always used a self adjusting tree stand and added two 20 pound lead bricks to hold the base down every year. No more trees falling over in my living room. No more spills and clean ups, No more fans drying out the carpet. What a pain in the butt! Now why didnt I find this great tree stand sooner! This thing is awsome! Very heavy duty. Heavy gauge metal. Built for life. Get this tree stand because it comes with the extra extender feet. This makes the stand very stable for large trees. Now I can feel good about getting those 10 foot plus trees that weigh alot and know that this thing will hold them up. Also this tree stand has a large 1 gallon plastic water pan. I know that will help alone because my fresh cut trees really suck down a few gallons of water the first few days. Less chance of going dry. Get this tree stand and you can be sure that you can put any size tree in it with no tipping problems, ever! I am really glad I bought this. You will be too! Dont waist time looking for anything else.
One person can do it!!

As others have said this stand is rock solid and you can be confident that your tree will not fall over. But I think the BEST feature is that you obly need one person. Essentially you simply screw a base plate into the bottom of your tree. The baseplate then fits perfectly at the base of the stand so when you insert the tree into the stand it's already standing upright. Then simply tweak it with the turn screws to make it perfectly straight and...Voila! A perfectly straight tree in minutes at the hands of a 5'6 woman!!
Best stand Ive ever used

We put up an 11' up this year. Set up and take down was a breeze. Screw the base plate to the tree, set the tree in the stand, slide the anchors into the holders and tighten while holding tree straight. Reverse process to take down.
Extreme Christmas Stand

We have struggled with tree stands since we started buying taller trees (9ft. plus), but this stand will most definitely handle the larger tree with no problems! We are going for a 12 foot tree this year! Can't wait!
Great for jumbo trees

We searched and searched for a reasonably priced stand to hold our giant Christmas trees, Averaging 14'. We found this stand, read others reviews and gave it a shot. It is easy to use, sturdy, easy to adjust. Would recommend this to others that go crazy at Christmas.
Wow. What a great stand.

If you are looking to hold a big tree. This is it. We have an 11' tree and it fell over late last year in our swivel stand. I wanted something that would make sure it did not happen again. Well this was it. It is made well and is heavy enough that I will keep the tree upright.
