Before purchasing this I'd read comments about poor durability. I will say when you pull it out of the box, you may think that, but fill it with 250 lbs of sand like we did and it's highly durable. This is the first sandbox I saw that wasn't an eyesore (read: red crab or green turtle). This sandbox works well with landscaping bricks we already were using and is barely noticeable in our yard. My children are aged 2 and 3 and both fit well in this with a number of sand play toys. My 3 year old can take the cover off himself. My 2 year old likes to play on the cover and jump on it. They will play in the sand indefinitely - until I tell them it's time to hose off and go inside. All in all a good choice of sandbox for my crew."..." Read more

Our children, ages 3 and 2,love the sandbox. They both are able to play in the sandbox. They like to sit on the crab's legs and play in the sand.
One item that needs adjusting on the sandbox is the lid has no way to be secured, especially in our prevailing high winds. Our solution was to put two logs over the top of the sandbox lid, and the lid has not flipped off like it did on the first day. The sand inside has stayed dry as long as we remember to put the logs back on. Having a rope to attach the lid to the sandbox would be helpful."..." Read more

We bought the sand/water center for our 20 month old twins and we love it! Right now we only use sand in it, but after they get older we may switch to sand and water. They both love it and can spend a good amount of time playing in the sand. We love that they are not covered in sand after playing, that it has a cover and an umbrella, and will also hold water. It would be nice if it came with two shovels and buckets, with two children we immediately had to get another shovel. Also, this is the same sand center used at our church (which also runs a childcare center) and it used by tons!! of children and has held up very well with lots of use."..." Read more
