Samsonite 21" Wheeled Backpack - 17896

Nice spacious backpack, relatively light, wheels function well, but the main compartment does not open widely enough for me to take my computer out.

This bag fits my 17.3" laptop. Granted it's a bit on the snug side but with all that padding you really can't go wrong. Plus it's a samsonite, what more do you really need??

My impression of the bag in the web image didn't match the actual item. The front pockets are too clumsy. The clumsiness is increasingly frustrating as days pass by. I was expecting the pockets and the sippers to be firm. Whose idea was it to use a flap to cover the zipper to the main pocket. Its annoying. Laptop casing, shoulder straps, wheels, handle, side pockets seem to be fine. I wish I could trade it with a better one. Too bad for the high price.

This product tips over forward as its not balanced at all. If you unzip the front pockets, the whole front just slumps to the floor. I hate this product it is very unstable and poorly designed.

I transport my 17 inch laptop in it with no problems, and enjoy the ease of use

As a grad student, I will have to carry very heavy books and a laptop every day to school. I have not used this backpack to school yet, but I already know that this backpack meets my expectations. It's very roomy inside and has many compartments. I really love that the shoulder straps can be stored when you want to drag the backpack and the shoulder straps will be kept clean off the ground. The only downside of this backpack is that the attached laptop sleeve does not make it easy for me to take my laptop out or put it back in the backpack quickly. The sleeve has velcro and it's attached to the back of the main compartment of the backpack. So, if I have many books in the main compartment, it's going to be very troublesome for me to put the laptop back in with all the books in my way. Also, the sleeve is kind of bulky and thick, and it makes a loud noise when I try to detach it from the backpack, which can be annoying to others in the classroom or library. It's not an issue anymore because I bought a slimmer and tighter laptop sleeve online and I can store my laptop in one of the compartments now. After all, I am happy with my purchase!

I haven't used this bag too frequently, so I cannot comment on the durability. I will say that I have the khaki bag and I can fit my 21" HP laptop in it and it is one of the only bags that will accommodate this size laptop. The laptop just barely fits - but it fits in there. I can pack my overnight clothes and my laptop and it fits fine. Also, the best features beside what I already listed is that there is a handle to use the bag with wheels in the airport, or you can wear it as a bookbag with straps that zip away, so those features are really great. There are sidepockets for your water, so that is helpful when traveling too.

This backpack is a great size for anyone. It's not too big for the average person to carry but has plenty of room for my 17" laptop and even a change of clothes. The wheels are sturdy and it's nice that they're covered when the bag is being used as a backpack. The removable sleeve makes going through security with my laptop a breeze. It's exactly what I was looking for.
