SOUND SENTRY

Moms in her mid-eighties and getting a little forgetful, this works great for reminding her to make sure water lights etc are off when she leaves the bathroom.

Great simple alarm system

I bought the Sound Sentry XL for use as a simple alarm system and it works great. You can record any sound and the sound quality is excellent. One thing it doesn't say on the package is you can change the playback volume by recording the sound louder (or softer). The unit is easy to install just stick it anywhere with the sticky pads or the velcro that is included in the package. Amazing idea and really useful. We point it at the front door at night as an alarm (this thing is like 80% less money than other alarms) but we also use it to leave messages for the kids on the refrigerator. Kids love it to just record funny sounds and play them back. The Sound Sentry was a big hit for us.
