If you're looking to protect your rug from wear, this is it - very thick fiber pad. Reminds me of the pads the furniture movers use. This is nothing like the lesser grade rubber rug pads. Provides a lot of cushioning and will likely be very protective of your rug. But this isn't the best thing to keep your rug from moving around. There's not a lot of grip to the bottom - my runner keeps moving on my tile floor. Definitely keeping it but trying to figure out a way to make it stay put!"..."  Read more

Does what it needs to do - adds light additional padding between the rug and hardwood floor and doesn't cause the rug to slip when walking on it. Finally Im able to have a rug over mu carpet in the coffee table area. The coffee table is very heavy and the rug was buckling .This underlay really works. Sophie"
