It holds his laptop and other documents in the pockets. This actually was a replacement gift as I had purchase this same product from a store about five yrs ago and the store no longer carried it in stock. There is plenty of room for all the accessories you need to carry. It's made of good quality leather. The only thing I find lacking in this bag is that the main zipper for the padded compartment could use tabs on the sides to help zip close.
