bomb proof - built for a lifetime Product Review i wanted to buy the best case- once. I think I was successful. The wheels make it manageable for its size, and the removeable foam made it possible to pack a rifle, bow, arrows and fishing rods for a canadian hunt. Service Review a timely delivery was in question, but customer service got hold of skb and had it shipped in time for my trip. I was very happy with the communication, i had calls and emails to track it to my doorstep. |

Good flight case for guitar Product Review I bought this for a Gibson ES-335 (semi-hollowbody archtop) electric guitar. FYI the foam included was as follows: 2"-thick egg crate glued into the lid, then 3 unattached sheets: one 3"-thick, egg crate on both sides with a rigid polyethylene sheet sandwiched in the middle; one 2"-thick sheet with egg crate on one side and flat on the other side; and one 1"-thick sheet flat on both sides. I cut spaces for the guitar, a Pod-XT (little bean-shaped mini-amp/effects module), and a pair of studio monitor headphones out of the loose 2" sheet. I just checked it for its first flight. The contents came out undamaged despite obvious rough handling (evidenced by multiple scratches on the outside of the case). I haven't subjected it to the elements yet, but there is a gasket in the lid that should keep it fairly weatherproof. The wheels are very helpful. I'd give it 5 stars if it had a layer of cubed foam to more easily customize the cushioning to the contents. Service Review I think it took about 2.5 weeks to get to Canada--not bad considering customs clearance etc. It arrived in perfect condition. I was impressed that the Cases and More checkout process calculated all delivery costs to Canada accurately; there were no surprise customs brokerage fees, taxes, or duty fees when it was delivered (which is often an issue when getting things shipped from the States to Canada). |

Heavy Duty is an Understatment I bought the case to transport my new Matthews Z7 compound bow and accessories while traveling on airlines, and it is certainly strong enough for that and then some, this case is really heavy duty, and yes it's heavy too! No lightweight here, good thing it has wheels on one end and a handle on the other. The quality is nearly the best you can get. The only small disappointments were the hinges and the latches which are not nearly as beefy as the case, but probably adequate. I would expect that my bow is safe from anything the airlines can throw at it, but someone trying to break in it won't have that much trouble opening it Only two latches have spots for two very small padlocks. So if safety is your top priority, this is perfect. If security is more important, then look for a case with a better locking system or plan to get creative with this case. |

Great Hunting Travel Case I bought this case for a recent trip to Alaska to go carabou hunting. The case was everything I hoped it would be. Easy to open and close, good quality latches, very durable, ample depth and pading, quality handles and rollers, and airline locks built in. I packed a Bowtech Admiral bow, qiver, Remington 338 ultra mag, hand gun, shells arrows, and knives in the case with room enought to fit comfortably (be carefull not to fill to full or you will be over weight for the airlines). [...] The only real consern I have with this case is the length. Short or standard rifles and bows will fit in it with now problem, but if you have long barrels on your gun or a long bow you may not be able to put them in without breaking them down. I had to take my barrel off of my stock to fit in case because my gun was a 28" barrel with a 3" muzzle break on the end. So make sure your gun either fits, or if you have to break it down it will not afect the scope or shooting of the gun. |
