*All sizes are determined using dog's girth, the measurement around the largest part of the rib cage
In-between sizes: Choose the smaller pack for a lighter load and less bulk. Please do not use saddlebag capacity as your only sizing consideration; use the girth fit for best results.
Fit: The pack's harness should have an all-around snug fit for a stable load and to prevent movement or shifting of the saddlebags. Be sure that each saddlebag has an equal and balanced load.

Looks Comfortable and looks great! I bought this as a training tool for my Standard Poodle. Her job is to carry frozen water bottles in her backpack while we walk. The backpack is easy to put on her even though she absolutely hates to have anything wrapped around her and restricting her. Nico has gotten used to this bag that has 'cushioned' straps and streamlined bags. She finally enjoys walking and 'working' with her backpack. Worth the price! |

Adjustments I have a small size for a young (9month old) Golden. But no how I try, I can not get it to adjust to stay straight and level (side to side) as she walks. Two 8 oz bottles of water, one in each side and it is all over the place on her. I end up carring the water in my backpack. Leave her pack in the car. |

Fair. A wonderful idea. But it is very difficult to keep in an upright position on my Gloden. It keeps tilting to one side or another. Have tried to balance the load...but no help. |

GREAT BACKPACK Product Review You get what you pay for. This is a fantastic backpack. The backpack is designed so that the majority of the weight is over the sholders where the dog is the strongest versus in the middle of the back where the spine could bow. My dog is a 125 pound Mastiff/Rottie and I was concerned about the large fitting. We have the staps adjusted in the middle so it is plenty big. Thank you Ruff Wear for making a backpack with the dog's needs in mind. We fully expect this backpack to last a lifetime and to be passed down to future generations. Service Review Very efficient service and delivery. |

perfect this pack is sturdy and has gone thru much abuse. rock climbing, thick timber, lakes, streams, mud, snow, the gratuitous rolling around on ones back. packs hold alot - deep, zips open wide, this picture doesnt show but several gear loops, the handle is perfect for helping assist in climb. sturdy leash attach. packs do not bounce when dog is running. I would recommend this pack without question. Adjusts easily for any dog shape. I have amstaff mix - who is large chested, long body. I also have the 5pt harness which is great for hikes that dont require my guy carry his own foodwater or I dont need as much gear. |

Works Great! My Boxer Mix loves it. The front strap feeds under a loop on the pack, not easy to reach, otherwise, it is great! |

Great backpack for working dogs My husky knows when I get his pack it's time for a walk/hike. He runs to our gate. I put it on his back and he lifts his right paw to help me put his leg through the strap! I can fit 4 bottles of water (2 on each side) plus a folding water bowl, lots of plastic bags, and at night a flashlight fits perfectly in the straps on the outside. Highly recommended! |

Good product, a bit pricey We've only used it a few times so far, but seems to be a great product so far. My dog took to it right away. Medium fits quite well on my 62lb boxer. It would be nice to have a smaller pocket for keys or other small stuff within the larger side pockets. Nice padded harness. My boxer has tons of energy and I bought the pack to try and tire him out more on our walks. When he wears the pack he doesn't pull as much and it seems to be doing the trick by expending some of his excess energy. As an urban dog the pockets seem a little big, but if you're using it to hike/camp I'm sure the size is right-as long as you don't overload your dog. |

Great product although a bit pricey This is an awesome bag and a great training aid for a high energy dog. In my opinion it is a bit on the pricey side, although Wayfair had it for the lowest price anywhere. I was told by a trainer that this one is pricey because it lasts and I hope that is the case. It has helped my boy significantly and I can't tell you the amount of looks we get from people when we are walking down the street. |

Worth it Product Review We used this pack to take our dog on a back country camping trip. It was great he was able to carry his own food/water and treats. We have a Bull Mastiff/Rotweiller 150 lb so we were a bit concerned about sizing but it fit well, as long as the weight was evenly distrubuted. Service Review Delivary was slow, I think because of the boarder. We were worried that it wouldn't get here in time for our trip but it arrived the day before we left. |
