I wanted an element of privacy on my deck. Both neighbors have privacy fences and I have a ton of plants, but the raised deck just feels exposed since the neighbors on each side are outdoor folks just like we are. I like my neighbors, but when outside just trying to enjoy life in the backyard I want to feel alone! I placed this along the deck rail and secured it with twine, then put plants in front of it and LOVE the feeling of peace and quiet!
