Tried other slicers and none achieve the french fry cut I was looking for. Some had a push feature tha cut strips but they could only to 2 inches long or they wouldn't fit in the slicer. Retailers said that no such appliance was available. Many were too young to remember the Veg-O-Matic commercials and older retailers didn't think they made them anymore. Than God for Internet search engines!

I have used the Veg-O-Matic for about 30 years. I don't know what I would do without it. I couldn't find them new for a while so every time my Grandmother saw one at a garage sale she would buy it for me. Love it!

I like the veg-o-matic, but we have a problem with the locking not releasing well. We wish that it would also cut slightly smaller size fries.

Very easy to use. Gets the job done quick. I use it alot to make french fries.

Back in the 1960s when this product first came out it worked great . But the one I just bought is JUNK anything hard like a potato or carrot it will not work. It is JUNK very disapointed.

This product is very cheap and broke the first time I used it to chop an onion. I paid way too much for a product that is inefficient. I have used other choppers and would recommend them over this one.

The only thing I like about this product is, that it does chop fries and veggies the way I want them. But its a little difficult to use and loud. Eh, I probably wont use this as much.

y husband and I went over to Krista's and we ended up grilling out and making our own fries. I had brought along my Ronco Veg-O-Matic hoping that I would put it to use. I tried to put the potato on the blade like in the picture on the box. That didn't work, we had to cut the potatoes in half first. Once we did that it was a breeze to use. It was a little flimsy at times but other than that it's a great kitchen gadget. After testing all four blades we were impressed with how easy it is to use.

I have one I have had since they first came out years ago and literally wore it out. Just happened to be surfing and found they were still available and ordered it immediately. The different blades made it so much more fun to use. Quick and easy to use and clean up is a snap.
