Rocking Horses

VERY pleased with this purchase. Well constructed rocking horse my 19 month old son loves it and has not "yet" tipped it over. At his sitters house he has tipped her rocking horse over at least twice now. He is a hard/fast rocker, fearless, and even though he scares the breath right out of me he has yet to have any accidents with it. I bought this rocking horse as a birthday present for my daughter when she turned 1. Since most of her toys are stored in my living room, I was looking for a toy that she would love, and that would not look tacky with my decor. This rocking horse is perfect! It was super easy to put together. I had it assembled in 15 to 20 min. The instructions are pretty simple. It's pretty sturdy and I don't worry about it tipping over while she is on it. I only worry about her possibly running her toes over when she is standing next to it and rocking it. But it's pretty lightweight and I don't think she'd even notice if it did land on her toes. The materials are very high quality and the wood is not scratched or burled anywhere. The finish is shiny and attractive. The wood does seem to be a touch darker than pictured, but it's still a nice, natural wood finish. I also love the yarn mane and was happy to see that the strands did not fall out easily. I braided the tail to keep it from getting too mangled by little fingers. All in all, it's a beautiful horse that looks good in my living room and is a fabulously fun toy for Kara. I bought two of these horses - one for my 2 year old neice and the other for my 3 year old neice. The horses are the perfect size. This rocking horse is of excellent quality and is very well made. The only thing I didn't like (and the kids will not care) is that there is no way to cover the heads of the screws. So there are bright metalic screw heads that show up next to the dark finish. Although the horse is excellent quality and extreemly cute, the picture shows a white horse with pink yarn hair which is what I ordered. When it arrived my daughter put it together and when I saw it I noticed it was a white horse with brown hair. I really wanted the pink yarn hair.
