Yes, it's plastic. But there are advantages to plastic. For instance, I was able to put this together in my living room and then carry it outside. This is significant because I'm basically an old and weak 5 foot tall granny.
Portable Cold Frame Review
Chris Cox from Alabama
I am writing to tell people about our experience with this cold frame product and the customer service department. We received this a few months ago as a gift. My wife set it up about 3 weeks ago and we found that we were missing parts. We called the manufacturer and within 2 days we had the missing parts shipped to our house. They also included suggestions to help grow vegetables in a cold frame which was great.
Value cold frame works just fine
Kira from Nj
Attractive cold frame that works well. We have used it now for 6 months with no issues. I kept bugs out and kept our need seeds from the frost. We plan on buying another 3 for next year to get jump on the season in conjunction with our greenhouse.
Very Good Cold Frame for the Price.

WE HAVE BEEN USING OUR GENESIS MINI GREENHOUSE COLD FRAME SINCE THIS PAST SPRING TO ALLOW US TO START GROWING EARLIER. IT WORKED VERY WELL. WE WERE ABLE TO GROW LETTUCE AND SNAP PEAS WELL BEFORE WE WOULD HAVE BEEN ABLE TO WITHOUT IT. WE ARE NOW TRANSITIONING SOMEOF OUR HERBS INTO THE GENESIS TO PROLONG THE FRESH HERBS WE HAVE COME TO LOVE THIS PAST SEASON.
Genesis Cold Frame Review
Samuel Blue from Kansas
This is our 3rd one purchased over the past 3 months. My family is using them to germinate seeds for Spring season. The cold frames are very easy to set up and look good and for the price we were not able to find a btter cold frame anywhere.
Nice Cold Frame for the Price
Todd Hurley from Perkasie, PA
This is our 3rd cold frame. The first 2 were returned because they were too light weight. For the price it is attractive and functional. Should be able to get 3-5 years out of it.
Easy to Assemble
Julia Dobrucki from California
Very easy to assemble and has a good size footprint. I would like to see better door panels and the arms to hold the door constantly fall off but overall is nice product.

If you are sending this item as a gift, just know that it will arrive unwrapped with a large picture of the frame on the box. My dad is thrilled with this frame. All of his seeds are planted in trays with the frame used for cover. Easy to assemble, a great frame for the price!
Green gardening cold frame review
Tim Collins from Greensboro , nc
Just got this as a gift from my kids. I set it up outside already and plan to start to plant in it come the Early Spring.
Looks great, works great

This greenhouse is small in size compared to a full size greenhouse, but it does handle quite a few plants at one time. My wife used it to start off her garden plants in the early spring when it was still too cold to plant. By the time it warmed up she was ready to plant and then started more seeds to plants. It was very easy to assemble. It's very sturdy yet very light weight. I placed mine on a wooden platform about 8 inches off the ground and then secured it to the wood with several wood screws. The weather hasn't even fazed it.
