We have a 55 flat screen TV on it and there is still 5 inches on either side (perfect to put my new Klipsch surround sound system). I would have rated it perfect except you have to lift up slightly on one of the center doors for it to close properly - we may be able to adjust this and it is still easy to close (even my child can close it). It looks great in the living room as an entertainment hub. Had to tweak it slightly for my use but very nice. Practical but Picky from Mukilteo, WA	4.0 11/22/2010 Great looking and functional This TV console looks GREAT in my home theater room. It comes fully assembled except shelving which is a breeze. The wires are all hidden and only the front of the components are visible through the glass. With the glass closed it does build up some heat in the console when I have my PS3, receiver, and DVR all running so I just open the doors for a while. Also, my DVR is on the bottom of the shelf and the IR remote sensor is blocked by the wood trim on the bottom of the glass door so I had to put blocks under the DVR to raise it about 3 inches and this solved the problem. There are other consoles that may keep equipment cooler or not interfere at all with remotes but none will look as good as this and with just a few minor tweaks this one functions great as well.
