I needed a compact recliner that would fit in my little bedroom. This fits the bill. It arrived undamaged, but it was clear that it had been returned, possibly more than once. The box was beat up, and taped up the sides instead of stapled. Assembly was easy enough once I realized that the brackets on the chair need to slide into the rails on the back. Some tension was needed to get them to align. The recliner gave off an odor of adhesive for days. There's no reclining lever or button, but the action is intuitive to control, and I haven't had a problem with the chair slipping into or out of recline without any action on my part. I actually bought it for my father, and he can't make it recline all the way very easily, but he can push it back a few inches and he says that is the perfect angle for him for reading.
