We bought this for my daughter for Christmas, when she was 18 months old. We got the large sized bee. At 18 months, her legs were barely long enough to reach the floor, but she still loved pushing it by the handle. Now she is two, and 36" tall. She can get around on it just fine, she loves to scoot all around on it. We have carpet in most of our house, and it rolls just fine on carpet. On the tile, it rolls pretty fast, so I have to keep an eye on her when she is in the kitchen with it. It can roll in any direction, unlike most ride ons. I think she will get use out of it for years to come. Its very sturdy and well made. Glad I got the large. If you have a taller than average child like mine, get the large. We haven't actually given my son this yet so I can't comment on how much he likes it. I can say that this toy is adorable. Everyone who has seen it already has commented on how cute it is. What little we've played with it, it seems to roll very smoothly and seems to be well built(we put him on it and pushed him around just a bit before we put it up for Christmas). There was no assembly. In case anyone is wondering about the size my son is one and is wearing 12-18 months clothes, he's in the 75% in height and weight and I can't imagine him fitting onto the bigger one yet. It seems small when you first look at it but once you set the child on it you realize how wide it is. His feet sit flat on the floor, he might actually have some growing to do to actually be able to move his legs and use it comfortably, but he's still a bit young for it anyway. I purchased the cow (I think should be called Bull or steer 'it has horns')for my 20 month old son. He didn't seem very interested at first, but I think that was because his toes were just touching the floor. I did buy the large size, which is recommended for 3 and up, rather than the small, but since within 6 weeks of purchase my son is scooting everywhere on the Bull I think I made the right choice. I love that it isn't a plastic monstrosity, it fit's perfectly into my son's western fantasies (cowboy extraordinaire). He did manage to 'brand' the Bull with pen art within a week, but some alcohol took most of it off and the rest is slowly wearing away. The casters do not run as smoothly as I would like, but that does slow him down...a bit...maybe a good thing."..."  Read more
