This ceiling mount makes installation of your projector in an acoustical ceiling simple and looks great. Would highly recommend for overhead installation.

Good adjustability. Could have had a shorter pipe. That with the taller mount made the projector hang down lower than with other mounts.

My wife is a 3rd grade teacher and her school bought a bunch of "technology" for their class rooms. They didn't think it through in regards to set-up/install. I surfed the web and found this product. All though the universal mount portion does not have thumb wheel style adjustments for up/down, and tilt left/right, it was still very adjustable and secure. The ceiling portion was a breeze to install, just read the directions (adequate) and work it through in your mind. Then determine the distance from the screen/ surface as per your projector instructions. Remove the required ceiling tile (I was working with a 2'x2' suspended ceiling)and set the ceiling mount on the tile frame work. the ceiling I was working in was strong enough to support the mount and projector while I adjusted it. Once all was assembled, in place and adjusted, I installed the support cables from the overhead ceiling joists and adjusted them to carry the full weight of the mount and the projector (the ceiling framework is for orientation and security, not load carrying) NOTE: The kit comes with high quality cables and cool quick no-tool adjusters, but they're like tie wraps, they can be tightened but not released, pull it too tight and there's no going back. Just make small adjustments at a time and you'll see what I mean. Overall the hardware was of good quality, the design was very good and I only used a tape measure, medium and large cross-tip and flat head scrrewdrivers, slip-joint pipe pliers, wire cutter pliers, and a razor knife. This amateur achieved professional results at a fraction of the price of similar products.
