The Recaro Pro-Ride seats are great. I have them facing forward because they are a bit on the large size however, my kids are long and heavy enough to ride facing front so there's no problem. I tried installing them rear-facing to see how they would be and they appear to be a bit too big for that position in my car. They also have good head support.

I bought this carseat for my 12 month old baby, and I'm very happy with my decision to get this particular seat. Most importantly, it's a very sturdy and safe seat. The side cushions to protect baby's head with side impact also make great cushions for them to rest their head on when sleeping. It's super comfortable and extremely easy to adjust all the straps to make it a perfect fit. I have to share this seat with grandma who babysits, so I'm constantly taking it in and out of the car and it's easy to install (we have it forward facing)
