“Hi, I am finishing a basement that has an odd space underneath a set of stairs. It is about 48" wide, 30" high but only about 8-9" deep at the top. I would love to add the fireplace look/ambiance in the lower level. Would this fit into that space?” asked by Cheryl

"Hi Cheryl, these are about 9 1/4" deep. They're meant to protrude about 3/4" from the wall and you need a bit of room for the cord in the back. This should fit, but based on the oddness of the space you described, it can't be guaranteed."

"Hi Carla. The screen kit is just that, a kit which you may or may not install. The manufacturer strongly recommends that the Electric Fireplace Insert only intended be used in an existing Real Flame Gel Fireplace. They have only tested the unit with their own products and do not suggest to use the electric insert in anything that is not a Real Flame Wooden Mantel."

Orange coals and holgram flames behing make it look deeper. The heater doesn't pump out as much heat as I expected and the fan does make some noise, but we still love it.
