Product looks good, but disappointing overall. from INDIANAPOLIS, IN on 04/12/2015 – Verified Buyer
I got two of the 96" width. The bamboo was not as sturdy at that width. One of the bottom pieces cracked. Not enough that I wanted to send back, but still disappointing. The hangers on each blind were at different spots so you had to measure each carefully. I had to re thread one of the blinds because it was cut. I don't think I cut it when I took the packaging apart. I was very careful, but who knows for sure. The instructions were not detailed enough to explain how the rolling mechanisms worked. I had to reattached a few parts after looking at both shades and putting the "puzzle" pieces together

Pros: I like the way they look.
Cons: Installation a pain - partly due to long width. I'm not sure how long they will last.

The Best (with easy mods) from Cardiff, CA on 01/23/2015 – Verified Buyer
We have several, 3 ft. thru 8 ft., hanging under eaves outside that hide sliding windows. The shades provide privacy from passers-by and allow air and ambient light in the space between the eave edge and window. Rolled-up to custom height, the remaining cord can be coiled and hang-man wound, then stuck into the roll and hidden.
What's weak is the plastic tear-drop slide-fit into a plastic receiver for the continual-loop pull cord. So discard the plastic keepers that will bake and break from the sun. To do it right, make the raw-nylon cord end, spit-stiff, and poke the now tapered end through 1-inch of 1/8" clear aquarium tube - and force the now plastic-sleeved cord through the relatively sharp eye of the stainless steel hangers near each end of the shade. Tie-off your plastic-sleeved cord in a square-knot and your sailing, brah!
A very nice shade for mankind.

Great blinds from Broomfield, CO on 04/21/2013 – Verified Buyer
I purchased 2 different sizes, one is a perfect fit, and the second needed to be altered, as it was too wide for my window. It was fairly easy to cut it to size for the right width. A bit time consuming but very easy.

Both blinds leave a lot of dust at first. I recommend opening them outside and shaking, then vacumming them really well. They still flake a bit each time I open and close them, but nothing like they did at first.

I also appreciate the child safety feature on the cords. It releases with the slightest amount of pressure, yet is fairly easily to re-engage.

The do a decent job of light filtering, but do not make the room completely dark.

All in all, I recommend these for indoor use.

VERY CHEPLY MADE!!! Plastic pieces, thin bamboo, and broken hardwear!!! BEWARE!!!!! from oak ridge, NC on 05/27/2015 – Verified Buyer
I received these blinds and I'm not very happy with them! a lot of the parts are very flimsy plastic, and the bamboo slats are very thin and some broken. We had to remove the plastic breaks on them and tie the string to the hanging hooks because they were warped and would not hold. I was planning on leaving this blind up year round on a covered porch at our beach house, but will be pulling them down when we leave with the hopes that I will get at least one years use out of them. I would return it, but since it is such a large heavy item not worth the hassle of shipping back. I would not recommend purchasing this item!

Pros: NONE
Cons: VERY CHEAPLY made with plastic pieces. Bamboo VERY thin and some broken!!!

NOT WHAT I EXPECTED from ARCADIA, CA on 04/26/2015 – Verified Buyer– Top 1000 Reviewer
Quality is average and it did not hang well. this is just too thin of a diameter and of insufficient strength to support the weight of the rest of the blind.

Pros: nature look.
Cons: very poor build quality

Really nice from San Rafael, CA on 09/04/2014 – Verified Buyer
Easy to install and very cool way of letting in light just slightly from the various uneven slats. Only issue is a lot of debris falling off when you raise and lower them. I have 6 and have 3 raised high permanently and three lowered which ended the shedding issue but that may be more of a pain if you need to raise and lower frequently.

great blind for privacy and style from Media, PA on 05/27/2014 – Verified Buyer
I use the blind out doors on the porch area for shade and privacy. It is well made and seems to be holding up in rain or wind. The customer service provided by Wayfair is exceptional. They stand behind their products and offer value for quality merchandise.

Awesome Deal For the Price from FL on 10/09/2011 – Verified Buyer
The blinds are a great deal for the price. We used them for the porch in our house in FL and it does a great job of keeping the room shaded from the afternoon sun.

The blinds are heavy, both in the amount of sun they screen out and in how much they weigh, but that's okay with us. The other thing that was less than perfect was the fact that only one side of the blinds are colored while the other side is natural. The design seems like it was intended to roll the natural side up and leave the stained side out, but with the blinds hung it's physically impossible.

So to sum up, you can't possibly beat the quality of these shades for the money - way better than the flimsy plastic blinds that you find in the same price range. A couple of little quirks detract from the overall greatness but in the end we're really happy with the purchase.
