Still haven't put it up yet... BUT

The blinds are really cool. I bought some that were 72" for a bigger window, and when I couldn't find the 36" ones at Target, I searched the world wide web and stumbled across them at Wayfair.com AND they were cheaper than the ones at Target, so double-win! I haven't actually put them up yet, but they're super easy to install; I'm just lazy!

PURCHASED THESE TO PUT ON MY PATIO TO HELP DRECRASE THE HEAT AND BRIGHTNESS AS THE SUN SETS IN THE AFTERNOON. FOR MY PURPOSES THEY ARE FINE BUT IN ACTUALITY THE BAMBOO IS NOT AS CLOSE TOGETHER AS THE PICTURE DEPICTS, SO IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO USE THEM NEEDING ANY PRIVACY THEY ARE NOT THE ONES YOU NEED.

I ordered 7 of these blinds, then three more because they are "cute" and look nice on my patio/porch. But, if you are looking to keep any sun out, don't be fooled by this picture. They are VERY see through and don't do much shading. Also the nice Cocoa blinds have an ugly yellow bamboo stick at the bottom, so if they are all the way down they really look cheap. Mostly I'd say they give you the feel of being in grass hut on a beach, which is why I like them. And they were easy to put up, but are flimsy, especially if there is any breeze.
Better get two...

I probably would love this item if the cords didn't come undone and now I do not know how to reconnect them to make the blind work properly. Just hung it today and I will have to go back and try to see if I can make the mechanics work just to roll it up. Otherwise it is just want I wanted. Would love any feedback on how to make it work. The instructions? NO not so great. But all in all I would still recommend this product.

Great value. Easy install. We did have some problems with the plastic fasteners that hold up the blinds strings but with some strong glue to keep them in place the problem was fixed. We have them on an outdoor patio and they withstand wind and provide moderate privacy and block the blaring sun while letting just the right amount of the sun's rays through.

As you see from the picture, the blind is advertised as opaque. Yes, it is bamboo, but it appears to be dense and therefore light blocking to an extend, at least providing some privacy. There are relatively wide gaps between every thin bamboo stick. I got this to dress up a hallway and provide more privacy. There may as well not be a window treatment there. As I was doing lots of home improvements, I did not discover the problem until I was outside the return window. So this is *literally* $40 in the garbage. Sorry to be so negative, but this is awful. Please don't buy, you'll be so unhappy. Better off with $10 vinyl blinds.
