I purchased these uniquely designed salad plates first based solely on color. In winter or bleak weather I seek out color and moving into spring I wanted apple green new leaf shoot green, hydrangea blossom green. I have a plate rail in my dining area that holds four basic off white dinner plates, in fall it holds salad plates with winter squash printed on them with red, avocado, orange and fall colors, at Christmas the salad plates become holly berry red, The wreath above the plate rail for fall and Winter, has matching squash and my buffet holds a basket of red apples...These salad plates are perfect for my own meals, and added is that they have a high rim so will make perfect pasta plates as well.
