It looks nice and seems well made. But I don't need a rain barrel where I live even though I'm in an area in an extreme drought. That's because during the rainy season I never water the yard and the rest of the year it never rains. So it would only collect 50 gallons per year of usable water. I'm using it to temporarily hold the output of the washing machine instead. The washer runs year round. The tap is always open to a hose that's moved around the yard. The problem I've encountered is that the screen on top is too fine, and clogged on the first washing. And when I removed the entire screen, the tap clogged after a few washings. The problem is that the diameter of the tap's hole for water is quite small. I think that I've solved the problem by cutting out the screen in the top and replacing it with a huge net that hangs into the barrel. That should allow the collection of a large amount of lint before clogging. It hasn't clogged yet, but it's only been a few weeks.
Works, but has some design flaws

The "flat-back" design isn't really effective. When the barrel fills up with water, the back swells out. This causes the barrel to push (about 2 inches) away from the wall. It's best to set the barrel 3 inches from the wall. This swelling also causes the rectangular filter opening (on top) to warp. During a heavy rainfall, the overflow spout cant handle all the water. Thus, water just pools on the top of the barrel and pours over the side. Be careful installing the spigot. Instructions say to lay the barrel on it's back (to make it easier). I did that but the spigot still didn't go in flush. Once the barrel filled with water, the spigot leaked. I had to apply a waterproof sealant to the threading to stop the leak.

I was definitely concerned about this barrel bowing out in the back based on what other reviewers said. However I have not experienced any warping whatsoever despite my barrel have been filled completely up and drained several times. It also looks great on the patio.

I have 9 rain barrels around my property. While I've tried different types, I keep coming back to this one. It's reasonably attractive, given the options, and I really like the fact that it has a flat back that allows you to place the barrel close against a wall. The brass spigot is of good quality (sometimes these are plastic), and the top screen fit snugly.

Love the look of this rain barrel as it 'fits' into the decor with our empty wine barrels. It is great that it has a flat back and is able to go flush onto our house wall - now all we need to do is wait for the rain.... Too bad though that there was no attachment to have it converted to connecting directly to a rain gutter downspout.

Our roof is black shingles with calico brown bricks. This barrel matches perfectly. We live in a neighborhood with strict appearance rules but this barrel is up to par. Doesn't look cheap like many do. Sits flat against house nicely.
This is a great product!

I had a gutter system run down the house from a second floor balcony into the barrel. This worked perfectly and I have enough water all summer for my indoor and outdoor plants. It is well made and I should have it for many years.

Nice touch with a textured facade. A bit more highbrow than your typical stamped out plastic or fake looking rain barrels.
Attractive way to save rain water.

Combined this barrel with a diverter and stand. Looks and works great!

Works like a charm. Easy to assemble and use. Haven't tried it under pressure yet but I empty it into a bucket to do all kinds of watering. No bugs or dirt or any downsides
