It works as expected. Thanks. Easy to assemble. Most people that complain about assembling this don't know which end of the screwdriver to use to bang a nail into a dinner plate.

This was all that the advertisement described. It is specifically made for a kayak or canoe, but it can be adjusted to use for a bicycle which we a re doing. It works great. Another wonderfful Wayfair purchase!

Lift works as advertised. Easy to install although diagrams leave a little to the imagination. Applying common sense on threading the ropes helps make for an easy installation. I use lift on a recreational kayak (back is wider than the front) so it doesn't hang quite as nicely as in the photos. The slings over time would actually allow the kayak to work its way out, or being in California an earthquake could allow them to fall out. Easy fix though, just use a bungee to pull the two slings toward each other. Now even in a good sized earthquake the slings will stay in place and the kayak will just swing back and forth. I installed two of these lifts. The first one took about 2 hours and the second less than an hour because I knew what I had to do. I mounted the lifts on a 2x4 that I attached the rafters in the attic. I have a finished garage so I had to find the rafters from below and this of course added to the installation time. On an unfinished garage you can install a lift in less than 30 minutes. I would absolutely buy another set if we get another kayak. Very pleased with a product that works as advertised.

The only problem is the straps kept sliding outward and not staying on the kayak. We had to attach the hooks together to make the lift work for us.

I bought two and they are PERFECT. THey came as advertised, easy installation. I have two 60 lb kayaks and they are hanging just fine. Easy to get down and put back up.
Good but needs different ropes.

This is a great item but the ropes fray and need to be replaced shortly. It arrived as expected. I would recommend. Note to mftr: Should have option of one mounting point instead of two.

This arrived just as described. The online description was very fitting. I am happy with it & would recommend this to anyone looking for a nice quality product.

It is good the only problem is the rope frays very easy. They need to be burned at the end so they do not separate. I would recommend.

It was easy to install and it works great! I have installed 3 of them and have one more to go. The best part of the directions were the drawings. If installing things is not easy for you, the reading part of the directions would make it hard to understand install the hoist. If I can get someone to record while I install it, I will post it on You Tube. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I do!

Really nice quality. I would have gave it 5 stars, but the locking mechanism locks both ropes at once. Easy to operate after you get a feel for it.
