We have been replacing outdoor fixtures with these Quiozel copper lanterns (this one is called Rue De Royal Outdoor Lantern SKU - RO8418AC per website) I must say for the price they have exceeded my expectations. They are made in China but have been assembled without any major flaws in production that I can see. These are much cheaper in comparison to other custom copper lanterns. Per the manufacturer website, these are supposed to mature with rich patina. So far the first installed lantern, the hanging version, hasn’t aged yet at one year in coastal Florida but the surface seems to be raw copper so it probably will with time. This lantern hanging version which is essentially the same style has held up well exposed to the coastal elements. I like the color which mixes well with our historic 1902 coastal home with transitional elements. The wire harness is well made with appropriate hot and neutral braided wire that is easy to install. They give you plenty of wire to work with for standard installs. This lantern was easy to install for the do it your selfer as long as you have basic knowledge of household electrical connections and how to install standard wall fixtures. They give you wire connectors and brackets but don’t give you fixture box screws (usually these come with the fixture box when it’s installed). They even give you a short bracket mounting screw for shallow fixture boxes. This was welcomed addition for me working on my historic house. I don’t see many fixture companies doing this.. Neal. FL.
