I can't tell exactly which white the background is, it can go with either white skirt or ivory skirt because there is a ivory border line on top of the quilt and shams but (for me) it definitely should go with a white skirt. The flowers have more than 2 colors: kinda red-orange pink and peach (or maybe coral pink). If u have a real pink wall and often use white light (neon), u might want to consider the color of the flower, but if you use redyellow bulb in your bedroom, this set still match with your whatever pink wall perfectly. Plus, the quality of this set is very good. I haven't washed them but I don't think they will get any problem with washing. I can't stop looking at my bed right now.
