Pricelessly Inexpensive With a small learning curve this saw did all that was expected. It was shipped in a timely fashion and the FedEx guy put it five feet from where I was going to use it. I purchased this for a couple of bathroom projects. I do not work on these things at production speed. The price allowed me to avoid rental costs and when done Craigslist here I come. |

Love this saw! I bought this saw specifically to cut granite tiles for our kitchen. It did an excellent job. It just ran right through the tiles with no problems. I am now looking forward to tiling our bathroom floors because of the ease of using this saw. |

a fair price for a fair tile saw Bought this for the combo of price, cutting size capabilities and motor power. I'm doing 2000 sq.ft. of marble and about 800 sq.ft. of ceramic tile and I'm half way done. The power is good but of course one cannot pull too hard or you'll overwork the blade. The blade that came with it is average and does a decent job. When new I noticed that the sliding unit had a few bumps in it. They seemed almost like flat spots on the rollers. A few squirts of WD40 helped. I clean the rail and give it a little WD40 every 50 feet of tile cuts although I can still feel some spot in the slide, but not enough to stop work right now. Later I intend to R & R those rollers. The table can be adjusted with a framing square so that cuts are perpendicular to the edge guide. The fence/angle gauge are a little flimsy for large tiles (12+") but may be ok for 4" tiles. The laser sight is adjustable but I only find it useful (along with a tape measure) for lateral positioning of the start of a cut and then rely on squareness of the backstop to rip straight pieces. NOTE: it will not make plunge cuts so you cannot cut out a "U" shape in the edge of a tile, only rips and corner notches. |
