I bought this puzzle for my daughter's 2nd birthday; knowing her love of puzzles and of bugs. She was captured by the bright colors and the fun way they made these bugs appear. It's great that it's a chunky puzzle for easily handling. One of her favorite things (besides putting the pieces in their places) was to collect all the bugs and carry them around in a basket. I purchased this puzzle for my daughter's 2nd birthday; knowing she already knew some of her colors. I also knew her love of puzzles, but had no idea that this would be her absolute favorite puzzle. She called it her fishy puzzle and asked for it a lot. She got so good at it (and fast) and learned her colors so quickly too. She also got to the point that she would "trick" us by putting the tail in the wrong spot and then would say "no, that's not right" and put it in the correct spot - like it was a game to her.
