We initially ordered the wrong sized bar stools to go with this table. It is confusing for a consumer when you order bar stools and a bar table from the same manufacturer but they do not work together. We finally figured out that there are counter height bar stools and bar height bar stools! We were disappointed that we could not get this table in the 35" size to go with our counter top height swivel bar stools. We bought this table for our kitchen along with 2 modern chairs. We usually keep it at normal table height, but like the idea that we can raise or lower the table as needed. A pro/con is that the table is very difficult to raise/lower, which on one hand is good because it keeps us from accidentally raising or lowering the table while we're eating at it, but on the other hand, only my husband can lower it. I can raise it, but don't have the leverage to push down on it enough to lower it (especially when its at full bar height). Because its such a shiny surface, it picks up grease marks pretty easily. The cleaning instructions say not to use any harsh cleaning products on it. So far I've used mild dish soap/water and clorox green works. Neither of those seem to have hurt the finish. Over all we love the way this table looks and eat at it for breakfast and dinner. It doesn't fit much more than 2 plates and 2 cups, but it works perfectly for us."..."  Read more

I ordered the table base without the top. The table base comes in four pieces (base, column, table top support and connecting rod). Although I was able to assemble the four pieces on my own, you may need another person to assist you. The base and the table top support are cast iron and the column is a steel tube. The assembly is held together with a steel threaded rod that goes up the center of the column. Once assembled, the table base is very sturdy. The paint quality was very good. Having worked in steel manufacturing, I find the table base to be a bit expensive considering the materials it is made from."..."  Read more

Excellent high-quality pub table that is a welcome addition to a game room for the sports fan. The table requires assembly, which was not all that difficult, although I would recommend drilling pilot holes in the underside of the table top for the screws required to attach the mounting plate. Once assembled, the table is extremely sturdy.
