latch broke 3rd use All sandwich makers of this type have the same flaws: 1. too shallow 2. too small for conventional bread slices Your best bet is to trim bread crusts off so the hinges don't struggle with as much resistance, put very little filling and make sure the cheese doesn't ooze out the side because then both halves get stuck, and you are good to go! |

Cheap plastic cover lock broke The second time I used the toaster, the cheap plastic cover lock broke and flew across the room. As much metal as is in this product, you would think they would have opted for anything but plastic on this small piece. Otherwise, the product works quite well - when I stand there and hold it shut while it toasts! |

A good product A bit difficult to open at first, but after a little experimenting, you figure it out. A great addition to the kitchen. Easily stored out of sight, very easy to clean...just wipe it off. It does what it is supposed to do in a very short time. Great for a quickly toasted sandwich. |

Sandwich Maker review The Sandwich Maker by Proctor-Silex that I received from Wayfair is a wonderful product to own. I love how fast it makes grilled cheese sandwiches. There is no need to spray the grill area where the bread goes because it will not stick. I butter my bread a little before I place it on the grill area because I like the buttery taste. It only takes about 3 min. to make a sandwich. That is the great part! Plus just let the sandwich maker cool and then all you need to do is wipe it clean. So simple!! I love this sandwich maker and the price is awesome!mimilovesall8[@] |

Great for grilled cheese... if you can get the darned thing open. The latch on my sandwich maker is very tricky. I've had to use a butter knife to jimmy it open and I'm afraid I'll eventually break it off doing this. It does make yummy grilled cheese sandwiches - if you can get it opened before the sandwich burns. |

Great product- easy to use! Product Review We have used this Sandwich maker for steak sandwiches and grilled cheese. There are numerous other uses for it such as pizza pockets. I like how convenient it is to make snacks for my children. It is very simple to use. We did have a problem getting it to open up when something was done cooking. I think we had it too full and somewhat jammed it so I would be careful with that. Otherwise, we love this product and how convenient it is! Service Review Got here very quick and everything was perfect :o) |
