Great sitting bench at the end of the bed
Judi from Ann Arbor, MI– Verified Buyer
I don't like to sit on the edge of the bed (ruins the mattress) to put on shoes. Therefore, I purchased this. I also bought some 3" thick foam, fabric and cording. I tacked the fabric onto the top of the bench and hot-glued the cording to cover the staples and rough edges of the fabric. It turned out perfect. Plus, the cubbies fit some nice baskets to hide some storage items. I would recommend this to anyone.
Fit's the need at the right price
M Aller from Centennial CO
Rating is based strictly on cost vs value. The fit, finish, and engineering of this product does not match similar IKEA or Scandavavian Design items. The engineering is not as sophisticated and the materials are not as heavy. For example there are exposed screw heads on the exterior sides of the chest that are covered by plastic caps. With that said, the chest fit our needs for the price. I would not pay over $160-$170 for this item. The chest is solid and will hold up to normal use. It is not difficult to assemble if you can easily follow the directions and you have some mechanical ability and time. There is a lot of hardware to install and probably more than 125 secrew or fasteners to put together.
One year later, still going strong!
Leslie from Thousand Oaks, CA
I wanted to wait to see if this benchstorage unit fell apart as it was very inexpensive. To my delight, no! It's going strong and it the perfect height to rest below our son's window. We have plantation shutters and they need to open out -- they clear the bench perfectly. Great storage for books and shoes. You could put a cushion on the bench and still have window clearance. We live in a track home in Thousand Oaks, CA so I think we've got pretty much standard window placement. Got the black bench and love it.
Exactly what I expected and looks great!
Diane from Chicago, IL– Verified Buyer
Nice addition and pretty sturdy for the price. No trouble putting it together. Took my boyfriend and I a bit longer than we thought, but all came together nicely. Only issue we had was that one of the side pieces did not have pre-drilled holes (necessary). Called the number on the instructions (if missing pieces) and was settling in for a long wait and much transferring around. Someone answered right away and just asked what piece I needed. They shipped it out immediately.
Decent for teens room
San from Bolton, MA– Verified Buyer
I purchased this headboard for my teenage sons bedroom. He saw it in a magazine and really liked the looks of it. The assembly went pretty smoothly, it just took a while. It would have gone faster if they would have had a little sticker on the boards labeling them A, B, C, D etc. At a distance the head board looks great. But I was disappointed to see the glue line along the edges on most boards. We purchased the black version. They may not show up as much on the lighter color head boards. I ended up using a black permanent marker on some of the edges as well as on the edge of the board that is nailed across the back. You could see the edge of this board from the top and side, so it looked white against the rest of the black. I just ran a black permanent marker along the edge [making sure not to get any on the top or side boards, as it would show the mark]. We have not set it up in his room yet, because we are still readying the walls to be painted.

I put this in my bed room at the end of my bed, and it work great for places my extra pillows on at nighttime. I bought two of the baskets as you see in the picture and it really adds to the look. I would highly recommend.
Not too bad
Brey Olson-Bandura from Great Meadows, NJ– Verified Buyer
Considering the price, it really isn't too bad. I ordered for my 5 year old son, so once I put it together and it ended up smaller than I thought it would be, I was ok with it! I had to assemble every little piece, glad I'm handy with tools! It really was easy to get it together, the instructions were simple. Assembling it was better than getting it already all put together, this was our second one! The first dresser I ordered (different one), was completely destroyed - assuming by the shippers. It's serving it's purpose, but I don't think I'd recommend this if you want anything long term, it has a "cheap" look to it. But I think it's fine for a child's room for a few years.

My daughter and I put this together, it is durable and for now a perfect fit for her. I didn't want to spend too much money on a bedroom set as she'll be leaving in a few yrs for college but she's enjoyed this one and I'm ok with it.
Holly from Fargo, ND– Verified Buyer
The finish is contact paper over pressed board. Drawers roll nicely and drawer pulls are quality. Due to light weight of the unit, you will need to secure to wall so it does not tip over. Perfect size for what I was looking for but wish I would have purchased one of better quality.

More assembling was needed. One went together easily the other one had to be glued. the screws did not lock the parts together well.
