These make a good crate mat, but I would not consider them a bed as they are not very thick. They do the job and offer a little bit more than a basic mat. I bought them because my dogs are very active and these are machine washable. I have not yet washed them, so I don't know how well they wash. Also, the no-slip backing is a bonus. Was this helpful?
