From their humble beginnings at Prairie View, Kansas in 1991, to their current 135,000 square foot facility in Fairbury, Nebraska, a lot of things have changed, but two things have stayed the same: their commitment to quality and family values.
Richard Allen, President and Founder of Prairie View Industries, loves challenges. The extent of the product lines offered at PVI makes that very evident. The company has seen massive growth since 1991. His insight, creativity and wisdom to treat his employees and customers like family has given PVI the credibility it has needed to succeed.
Prairie View Industries has a very bright future. They strive to create new products as well as continually improving the current ones. They also continue to break down barriers to help people lead more productive and active lives.
, Prairie View Industries' mission has not changed since 1991 when Richard Allen, (President/Founder), built the very first ramp. It is to help mobility challenged people to lead more active, productive and happier lives. They strive every day to improve designs for better adaptability in the everyday world. They also encourage customer input and are more than willing to adapt to specific needs.
Prairie Views' mission and vision are both quite simple. They are a family owned company that sincerely wants to grow as a family for our company, our employees, our customers, and our community. By continuing to grow their reputation in the marketplace, they not only service their customers, but maintain a way of life for their 80+ employees, which in turn helps to keep their small community strong.

Functionality with looks

Saw this in use before I bought it at a friends house for another friend in a wheelchair. Easy to use and light enough for portability
Standard Threshold Ramp - not quite right
Lynda from Camarillo, CA– Verified Buyer
The product is nice but we needed a longer one. This did not work out for me at all. The entry step up was about 4" which made the incline too steep to use.
works for me

we are using this to bridge the unevenness from our driveway to the sidewalk caused by tree roots growing underneath. Since it is concrete I have not secured the ramp through the screw holes, but there has been no issue with it moving out of place. The ramp has been outside a few weeks and does not seem damaged by the elements.

The Standard Threshold Ramp is a quality product designed for those persons requiring aid to navigate or other inclines and to help prevent falls. It is made from quality materials and is supported by strong metal ribs on the underside of the ramp. It has increased my confidence when entering the door from my garage to the house without fearing a fall.
Nicely made, durable

A great way to compensate for a small grade change when using a walker or scooter for mobility

Fantastic! The ramp worked out just great. In fact, it's been a few months and it's still just as sturdy as day one. My son is in a very heavy electric chair and the ramp has hold no problem handling the weight of the chair at all. Super sturdy and hefty. Easy to move as well. Just an overall great great product.
Ramps for home use

Ramps are fine for what needed ... Wheelchair access to deck and garage to car person on phone purchase very helpful .
Ramps are OK.

I got these ramps to ease movement of equipment in/out of my garage. They are OK. In my use, the sandpaper-like no-slip ramp treads are falling apart. Again, my use is probably not typical. I keep these in a somewhat normal exterior household environment and they more-or-less have held up well. It is a simple, durable and straightforward ramp...rather a better product for many for what it is probably intended for. I'd get these again...and I've bought four of them over time so far. I'd like to see a way to connect them together without modifications...but, then again, that may be just because how I am using them.
