The "distressed" look is light and adds beauty. I searched many armoires before finding this one that had more drawers with more separated compartments. al from St. Louis, MO	3.0 6/29/2009 disappointed in workmanship Wife loved the style and color of the piece, however there were two blemishes that detract from her overall satisfaction. There was a staple or brad sticking out of the top of the main piece, and there was a large blemish in the finish inside one of the side doors. BOTH should have certainly been noticed before they left assembly. Neither make it unusable, but they are very disappointing and make us feel we overpaid.
