Powell Jamestown Landing Pub Table - 987-404

I previously gave this 4 stars but in a matter of days it broke. The base screws into place and is only held by 3 sheet rock type screws, very poor design for a heavy table. If someone pivots the the table even a small amount the screws are stripped out of the base. Advise anyone buying this table to use wood glue when attaching base and will solve problem. Table is very sturdy but I would not rave about it as much as the other reviews. For the price it is a decent heavy table but is made in China and quality shows it in places. Still I would buy it again given the price. Similar to what you would get at one of the major chain furniture stores. As a side note the finish on my table was darker than the picture.

Service Review

Ships UPS freight. In my case they lost the box and delivered someone else's to me by mistake, caused a few days delay. Do check for damage as things slide around in the box a bit, luckily my damage was on the bottom of the table.

I received this product today.[...] Opened and started putting together. It was a cinch, all screws and bolts fit perfect. I am a 66 year old female and I put it together in about an hour. It is beautiful and goes perfect with my two solid wood bar stools that have a gold ring at bottom for feet. It is a perfect size, perfect height and beautifully stained and polished. The delivery company was great. They called before delivering and put the large box where we asked. Although we had to put the table together it was very easy with the instructions encluded.

we could not be more pleased with the quality of this table. it is solid, sturdy and better than we could have imagined.

I bought this to go with a couple of bar stools I was given and to use as extra seating when we entertain. I just love the looks of it. And I move it from room to room easily - wherever I need a couple of extra seats.

I use the pub table in my living room. We turned our never used living room into a bar area and the table fits great.

Very handsome table. Nice wood and stain. Compliments the matching stools very well. Good foot rest positioning as well for comfort. Height is such that it is equally comfortable for those standing or sitting in a pub stool.

I had been looking for a pub table for what seemed like forever. Either I found a poor selection, good prices or good selection outrageous prices. I decided to search the internet and found this table. The quality is outstanding. A similar table at one of the places I shopped was going for over $800.00! The table arrived quickly, required just a little assembly, and it absolutely beautiful! Thank you. Now I have to find some stools.
